In a Day 4 fixture of the 3rd KK Super Sixes, being played under lights at the UBL Sports Complex, the Blasters came head to head with the Towellers, in a match that turned out to be a rather one sided affair.
The Towellers, after winning the toss, elected to bat first. As expected they were off to a fa1ntastic start with both openers finding the boundary ropes on a regular basis. Haseeb came out to score a blistering 25 runs of just 9 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes to his name. Fellow opener Shahrukh also played an equally superb innings to score 32 runs in 9 balls with 1 four and 4 massive sixes. Shezad Mehar contributed with a quick 9 runs with 2 fours to propel his team to a competitive total of 79 runs in 5 overs. Mahmood Khan and Abid Aslam took a wicket apiece for the Blasters.
The Blasters started their chase with Ali Haider dismissing opener Saad Khamisani early for just 1 run. However Abid Aslam took on the responsibility to score a quick 35 runs of 18 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes to keep his side in the contest. However it was for the tight bowling of the Towellers, especially Ali Haider and Shahrukh that curtailed the Blasters and restricted them to just 50 runs in 5 overs.
The Towellers won the match by 29 runs.
