The Trail Blazers put on an absolutely clinical performance against Rising Eleven at the Agha Khan University Ground last week.
Trail Blazers started off slow with the opening batsmen scoring a cumulative 25 runs before the hard hitting began. Faisal Butt made 95 from just 44 balls in an outstanding display and Waqar Hafeez Vicky finished the innings strong after having scored 62 from just 30. The partnership helped boost their side to a mammoth 222 in 20 overs for the loss of just 4 wickets. For Rising Eleven, Khalid Zubair was the key bowler with 2 wickets while Ahsan and Sufiyan Bhojani took a wicket each.
Rising Eleven tried to produce some hard hitting innings of their own but were barely successful as Shahnawaz Majeed's 51 from 37 was the only substantial contribution from a single batsman in that innings. Muhammad Sherry also looked like he was on a scoring streak but with scoreboard pressure on, he was cut short at just 26 from 13. Mehmood Shetty, Umer Khan, Adeel Abbasi and Ansar Bhesania took 2 wickets each while Tayyab Balagamwala picked up a wicket.
Trail Blazers won by 51 runs.
