Benitoz Panthers v Bubbers
Benitoz Panthers played Bubbers as part of the 2nd Acm Gold t20 Night League match at Moin Khan Cricket Stadium. Bubbers won the toss and decided to bowl first and their opening pair did a good job as they reduced Benitoz Panthers to 42 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. However, Panthers have a strong batting line up and after the initial hiccups, Ahmed Arshad combined with Umer Chawla in a 135 run partnership to ensure that Panthers ended at 221 for 5 in 20 overs. Ahmed Arshad got 78 runs not out off 47 balls at a strike rate of 165% while Umer Chawla got 84 runs not out off just 41 balls at a strike rate of 205%. It was tremendous comeback after the loss of early wickets by Panthers. Bubbers bowlers seemed to have lost the plot after the initial aggressive intent shown on the field. For Bubbers, Rashid got 2 wickets while Atif, Ali and Abdullah got a wicket each.
In reply, Bubbers had a good opening partnership of 37 runs but subsequently wickets kept falling at regular intervals and Bubbers could eventually only manage 154 for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. For Bubbers, Ali got 34 runs while Waqas, Asad and Saad got 25 runs each. For Panthers, Umer Chawla repeated his heroics with the bat in the bowling field also as he got 3 wickets for just 9 runs while Hamza and Uzair got 2 wickets each and Waqar got 1 wicket.
Benitoz Panthers won by 67 runs.
