Umer Enterprises beat Farman & Co in a thrilling contest at the Young Fighter Ground this week.
Farman & Co took to bat first and put on a consistent performance with opener Saleem making 21 from 15, Faraz making 13 from 23, Sajid making 18 from 21 and Wajid making 23 from 23. The lower and lower-middle batting order was not able to deliver and with 14 extra runs the total was pushed to 109 in 19 overs for the loss of ten wickets. Shahid took three wickets while Asad and Gullzaman Chaudary took two wickets and Nawaz Baber, Mehtab Khan and Ali Raza took one.
Umer Enterprises chased the total in 14.5 overs for the loss of six wickets thanks to some particularly outstanding batting from Ammar Iqbal (32 from 29), Asghar Ali (20 from 29) and Asif Nawaz (28 from 14, not out). M Salman took two wickets while Sajid, Saleem, Aftab and Ikram took one wicket.
