Unity XI v Sheikh CC
Unity XI batted first and despite losing their top order for just 12 runs, opener Adeel Mansha singlehandedly held the innings together. He scored an impressive 59 runs off 48 balls including 3 boundaries and 1 six. Hassan Ahmed and Bilal Amin were the only other notable batsmen to score in double digits, contributing 26 and 17 runs respectively. Sheikh bowler Kashif Javed did well to limit the opposition, picking up 3 wickets for his side. Unity XI set a target of 143 runs in 20 overs.
Sheikh CC also stumbled in their chase, losing opener Muhammad Ali for just 4 runs. Things seemed to stabilize with Rizwan Shahid and Afnan Karim scoring 37 and 25 runs respectively to pull their team back in the game. However their dismissal caused an implosion with none of other batsmen able to show any resistance to keep the scoreboard ticking. A late surge of 18 runs by Muzammil Haroon was the last hope for Sheikh CC but he received no support on the other end. Ali Nasir and Bilal Amin were the key bowlers for their side, picking up 2 wickets each. Sheikh CC were limited to 124 runs in 20 overs.
Unity XI won by 19 runs.
