Universal Warriors won the match by six wickets against the Southend Cubs this past week at the Southend Club.
Southend Cubs batted first and in 20 overs amassed a total of 171 runs for the loss of four wickets thanks to some impressive batting from Azam Khushi (66 from 35), Khalid Dosani (57 from 37, not out) and Asif Afridi (30 from 28). Ghazi took two wickets while Salman and Ashir Azeem took one.
The Universal Warriors were able to chase the target thanks to some consistent batting. They made the target in 18.5 overs for the loss of just four wickets. Ashfaq (20 from 10), Ashir Azeem (34 from 17), Hamza (50 from 42) and Behroz Ghichki (36 from 26) helped the team chase the target. Asif Afridi took two wickets while Raheel Malik and Muzammil Imran took one.
