ZMCC v Vanthali Memon Association
ZMCC played against Vanthali Memon Association at TMC cricket ground. ZMCC batted first and opener Sohail Fazal was in prime form as he scored 53 runs off 42 deliveries in an innings that included 9 boundaries. However, his team mates disappointed and though some got good starts nobody could score big and the team eventually ended at 143 for 8 in 19 overs as Mubashir knocked 16 and Afzal got 15 runs. For VMA, Naveed, Hamza and Sadiq lead the attack picking up 2 wickets each while Ibrahim took a wicket.
In reply, openers Khurram and Uzair were out after having scoring 13 and 12 runs respectively and Farrukh was dismissed without scoring. However, Humza played a very sensible knock and scored a valuable 61 runs off 50 deliveries to ensure there was no collapse and he was assisted by Waqas with 19 and Naveed with 14 as Vanthali reached home for the loss of 6 wickets. ZMCC fought well but in the end Vanthali Memon Association batsmen held their nerves and ensured their team was victorious. For ZMCC, Shoaib took 3 wickets and Danish and Zeeshan got a wicket each and there was 1 run out.
