Viper XI v DMC Hawks
Viper XI and DMC Hawks played each other at Moin Khan Cricket Academy. Viper XI batted first with opener Jawad being dismissed for duck. The team struggled throughout the innings, unable to contribute runs effectively with the bat. The only notable contributors for their side were Osama (21), Waqas (27), Abuzar (24) and Saqib (20) who showed some resistance against an aggressive bowling attack. Viper XI set a target of 157 for 8 in 20 overs. Hasan and Khurrum got 2 wickets each while Fazal, Abdullah, A Rahim and Mateen got 1 wicket each.
In reply, DMC Hawks lost opener Kashif Mushtaq for duck. However Riaz with 45 and Tayyab with 42 runs stepped in to lead the recovery and keep the scoreboard ticking. Viper XI's bowlers were in form, bowling well at crucial moments, picking up wickets to limit the opposition. Eventually only A Rahim was able to reach double figures while the rest of the batsmen succumbed without getting any significant scores on the board. DMC hawks fell short and could only get to 139 for 9 in 20 overs. For Vipers XI, Usama got 3 wickets, Shiraz got 2 wickets and Faraz and Mubashir got a wicket each.
