Vital Group batted first with the openers looking in good touch, giving their team a reasonable start. Obaid Rabnawaz scored 11 off 10 balls with 2 fours. After his dismissal, Inam Ullah was joined in by Sibtain whose formidable partnership propelled the team's score forward. Inam Ullah scored 65 off 41 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 158 whereas Sibtain scored 54 off just 30 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes. After their dismissal, the innings took a nose dive and Vital Group lost wickets in quick succession. Faizan picked up 2 wickets for just 19 with the rest of the bowling line up chipping in. In the end, Vital Group scored 168 runs in their 20 overs.
Defence XI CC in response, were off to a decent start as the openers made a steady opening partnership. Zia Uddin only managed to score 13 off 19 balls with 1 four but his opening partner kept on going. Aatif Memon was fighting hard for his side but kept losing wickets at the other end. He scored an impressive 65 off just 45 balls with 7 fours. Kashif Altaf was instrumental with the ball as he picked up 3 wickets while Obaid Rabnawaz picked up 2. There was a little resistance at the bottom with Azan Memon and Mustafa Memon scoring 14 and 24 respectively but it simply wasn't enough as Defence were limited to 151 in their 20 overs.
Vital Group won by 17 runs.
