IBA ground was the venue for the 17th Challengers Cup match between Shabbirabad CC and VMA Suleman Textiles. Shabbirabad batted first and VMA Suleman textile bowlers were on song from the start as they kept taking wickets after every few balls and none of the batsmen managed to get into double figures except Muntasir who managed 30 runs while his team was bundled out for a mere 84 runs. For VMA, Rehan Hanif was pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets for just 3 runs while Naveed took 2 wickets and Fahad,Shahid, Ahmed and Imran got a wicket each.
In reply, Fahad Jabbar showed his brilliance yet again as he displayed some exquisite strokes and managed 64 runs while wickets kept falling at the other end but eventually it was a comfortable chase as VMA Suleman Textiles reached home in 12.4 overs for the loss of just 4 wickets. For Shabbirabad cc, Murtaza Kapasi took 3 wickets for just 7 runs while Taha got a wicket.
VMA Suleman Textiles won by 6 wickets.
