Weekend Warriors beat Ibne Insha CC by 13 runs this past week at the 7th Saturday Champions League!
Weekend Warriors batted first and were off to a decent with opener Ali contributing a handy 29 from 15 and Sohaib Ejaz making 45 from 36. Waqas kept the momentum going with a fiery 55 from 36 boosting Warriors to a competitive 171 for 5 in 20 overs. Ejaz Shah was the key wicket taker with 2 scalps while Hamza Ahmed, Harish Karim and Ammar Abbasi picked up a wicket each.
Despite getting off to a good start, thanks to an opening 23 from 13 by Sohaib Naseem and an impressive 50 from 36 by Usman, Ibne Insha were only able to make 158 in 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Warriors bowlers kept the pressure on, picking up wickets consistently to stop the flow of runs. Sohaib Ejaz took 2 wickets while Hassan Siddiqui, Kumail Raza and Yousuf Ismail picked up a wicket each.
Weekend Warriors were crowned champions.
