What a Thriller!

VMA Suleman Textile Stallions and Wonder Boys faced each other as part of the 17th Challengers Cup. Batting first, VMA lost opener Rameez for duck but ever reliant Fahad Jabbar stabilized the innings with his knock of 29. Mirza Shoaib and Shezad Suleman then stepped in to dominate the innings with unstoppable knocks of 63 and 55 runs respectively giving no chance for Wonder Boys bowler to break through. Ali Mir was the only fruitful bowler with 2 wickets while Sajid and Danial took a wicket each but it was too little too late. VMA Suleman Textile Stallions ended at an impressive 179 for 4 in 20 overs.

Wonder Boys had a rollercoaster 2nd innings chasing down the target. The team lost opener Madni Bawany and one down Kashif Kabra for 2 consecutive ducks and were looking doomed before Saad fought back. His knock of 83 included 7 boundaries and 5 sixes. Farooq Lodhi tried to provide some reprieve with his cameo of 20 but Naveed Rangoonia was ruthless in his spell. His 4 for 17 ripped through Wonder Boys top order before Hasan Shahab caused further damage with his 3 wickets. The chasing side were never able to fully recover and despite Abdullah Paracha and Wahab scoring 15 and 12, Wonder Boys were bowled out for 170 in 19.5 overs. Muhammad Ahmed also took 2 wickets while Shezad Suleman picked up a wicket.
