Wintex Strikers v Aimmz Trading- FC Challengers Cup Final
Wintex Strikers and Aimmz Trading played against each other in the final of the Challenger Ramzan Fc Cup 2017. Wintex batted first and lost in form batsman, captain Usman Yunus Ghani after he had scored 24 runs. Faisal Butt on the other end continued to up the ante and scored runs freely with a fiery 51 runs off just 38 deliveries at a strike rate of 134%. Atif Ahmed was out without scoring while Adnan Salim contributed 20 runs and Adeel Abbasi knocked 25 runs. Israr Ul Haq hit a quickfire 26 runs off 14 balls to power Wintex Strikers to a competitive 178 for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Aimmz bowlers fought hard with the ball with Muhammad Ali starring to pick up 3 wickets in his spell. Tauqeer Rafiq also took 2 wickets for his side.
Chasing a large total on a spinning track, AimmzTrading batsmen struggled against the wily spin of Adnan Ghazi who removed openers Zain and Muneeb for ducks and Saad Saleem followed after scoring just 1 run. Ozema Zafar was the only batsman to get into double figures as he scored 34 runs while all others succumbed to some good bowling by Adnan Ghazi (4 wickets for 6 runs in 4 overs), Adeel Abbasi (2 wickets), Rizwan Merchant (2 wickets), Israr ul Haq(1 wicket) and Talha Butt (1 wicket). Aimmz Trading were all out for just 76 runs as Wintex strikers showed their strength in bowling as well as batting and came out unbeaten to become champions. It was a phenomenal achievement for Wintex Strikers that they not only defended their title but have remained unbeaten so far in two consecutive tournaments and not lost a single match.
Wintex Strikers won by 102 runs and were crowned champions.
Man of the match was awarded to Adnan Ghazi for his sublime spell. Best batsman of the tournament was awarded to Faisal Butt whose contributions lead his side to victory throughout the tournament and the winning captain who batted superbly throughout the tournament, Usman Yunus Ghani was awarded man of the tournament.
