Energetic Emeralds batted first and were off to a poor start losing quick wickets at the top which left them at the backfoot. Zippy Zircon’s bowlers were on fire right from the beginning and they maintained a top line from start. Huzaifa picked up one wicket at the top and rest followed the good work by the opening bowlers. The batting was out of sorts and no batsmen looked comfortable enough against the quality bowling. Ammar and Taha were the only two who managed to get in to 20s whereas others failed to score big. The bowling was impressive and Murtaza picked up 3 wickets whereas Mudeka picked up 2. In the end, Energetic Emeralds managed to score 127.
The chase was off to a rocky start losing an early wicket but then they recovered well and put on a decent partnership. Burhan and Ali managed to settle nerves of Zippy Zircon in this big encounter and made some crucial runs. Burhan scored 19 and played a supporting role to Ali Asghar who scored 55 and was solid and on top of his game. After their dismissal, Energetic Emeralds came back strongly and picked up key wickets at very important times which opened a gate for them. Haider picked up 3 wickets and was the chief destroyer. The match went till the very end but in the end, Zippy Zircon held their nerves and got over the line with only 5 balls to spare.
