Avanza Cricket Club batted first against Sons of Pitches and lost opener Junaid Ali for duck. Adnan Hussain and Tariq Javed then steered the recovery with 50 and 49 runs respectively to pull their team back in the game. After the duo were dismissed however, the team completely fell apart with none of the subsequent batsmen able to contribute effectively. With 3 consecutive ducks lower down the orders and Pitches bowlers in form, Avanza CC were limited to 164 for 9 in 20 overs. Ali Aamir, Moiz Hassan and Abrar took 2 wickets each.
In response, Sons of Pitches were off to a disastrous start after losing opener Noman Arfeen for duck! Things however took a turn for the better when star batsman Muhammad Zubair Arif knocked a hugely impressive century off just 46 balls at a ridiculous strike rate of over 200. Nothing could stop the chasing side then as they reached the target in 16 overs. Ashar Hasan also took 2 wickets.
Sons of Pitches won by 8 wickets.
