NJC Vs AGS Veterans
NJC were off to an awesome start with their opening pair in the first innings of the match. Captain Saqib scored 35 runs and Azeem Mustafa scored 24 runs for the team. Kashif Butt came in at number three and scored 21 runs for his side, and lost his wicket to Shahzad Aftab. Tariq Mehmood added decent runs to the scoreboard after scoring 18 runs. Rest of the batting order weren’t able to perform much and were demolished by the bowling attack. Shahid Junaid bowled an extremely awesome spell of 2 overs, picking up 3 wickets on his way, leaving the batsmen defenseless. NJC scored a total of 134 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Asif Hayat gave AGS Veterans an amazing start where he scored 52 runs with little help from Rafiq Ghaziyani who went down after scoring 22 runs. Asif Hayat’s brilliant performance gave his team the hope of winning this match. Abdul Wahab and Shahid Junaid were the ones to take their closer to victory when they carried a 41 runs partnership. Asif Afridi was the lucky man to play the winning shot from his team and AGS Veterans chased the target without any hesitation in 19 overs and scored a total of 138 runs. Parvaiz Awan was the highest wicket taker in the second innings with 3 wickets to his name.
