Haseen Habib Vs Perceptions
Haseen Habib batted first and were off to a miserable start losing quick wickets at the top and it left them in a terrible situation at the top. The opening bowling pair from Perceptions were in top form with the ball, Ali Jasim picked up 2 wickets for just 10 runs and Ali Maher gave away 21 runs in his spell of 4 overs and picked up 2 wickets. Haseen Habib needed someone to steady the gears and Azhar Khan tried to do that with his awesome knock of 63 runs. Abid Malik scored 16 runs and in the end Ansar Mushtaq added 11 runs to the total. Azhar Khan’s performance did give some firmness to the innings. Haseen Habib scored a total of 127 runs in 20 overs.
The chase was an uncertain one but Perceptions had utmost faith in themselves. On the other hand, Haseen Habib were in need of something stirring from someone to restrict the opposition. The start was good from the batting side as Foz e Azeem scored 35 runs at the start of the match. Rest of the top batting order was brutally dismantled by Fawad Bari who picked up 3 wickets from the top. Shaaz scored a sensational 39 runs with 3 majestic boundaries and remained not out till he got out his team to the glory. Maqbool Ahmed played the winning shots alongside him and scored 9 runs which took them to victory. The bowlers helped them as well as they gave away as many as 22 extras and in the end, the chase was completed successfully and easily only in 18.1 overs.
Perceptions won by 6 wickets.
