Airport Gymkhana Vs RLCA
Airport Gymkhana batted first and were off to a disastrous start with the bat. Openers M. Aslam and Yasin Mirza failed tremendously on giving their side a decent start in the game. Both of the openers went down after scoring 13 runs. Khalid Sami was the man with the ball to break the openers rhythm and he had 2 wickets to his name in the match. Tahir Gul came to his team’s rescue and played a wonderful innings of 51 runs which gave their side to take some sigh of relief. Zahid Ahmed added decent runs to the total with his knock of 27 runs, followed by Azhar Rehman who scored 23 runs alongside Phillips and he scored 15 runs. Rest of the batting was put to rest by Younas Paracha who picked up 4 wickets with his vicious bowling attack. At the end of 20 overs Airport Gymkhana scored a total of 160 runs.
RLCA were off to a relatively slow start knowing the fact that they did very well with the ball in the first innings. The openers somehow ran short of accuracy and weren’t able to give their team a decent start. Both of the openers went down after scoring 7 runs. Ghulam Ali came in at number 3 and scored 30 runs. The bowling side was brutal with their performance. Imtiaz Ahmed and Hamid Ali scored a 47 runs partnership but that didn’t do them any good. At the end of 20 overs RLCA were restricted to a total of 122 runs.
Airport Gymkhana won by 38 runs.
