Bank Alfalah batted first and they had a worst outing with the bat. There was no intent from their batsmen and they were off to a poor start as well. They lost their first wicket of the very first ball of the match and they could not recover from it. On the other hand, the bowlers for Faysal Bank did an outstanding job, Rahil and Zohaib picked up 2 wickets each at the top and with their spells they set the tone of the innings. Talib Ali bowled a great spell and he bamboozled the lower order with his great variations and picked up 4 wickets for just 7 runs. Bank Alfalah innings had only one bright spot and that was the innings from Javed Ahmed, he scored 43 crucial runs and helped his side in reaching 85 in their 20 overs.
It was a low chase and Faysal Bank had all the momentum going into the second innings. A special effort was required from the bowlers to stop the batting side from chasing the total down. The start was a great one for Faysal Bank and their openers began their innings on a positive note as they looked to score runs. Aamir scored 29 off 29 whereas his partner Bilal was the aggressor and scored 25 off 15 balls. Nadeem Alam also contributed with 16 and for Bank Alfalah Usman was the only wicket taker who picked up 2 wickets. It was a disappointing effort from Bank Alfalah and they were beaten comprehensively by 8 wickets and only in 12 overs.
