Dawson Stars batted first and were off to a bright start. Their openers, Aashir Ahmed and Khurram looked in great touch and they played some great shots during their opening partnership. Aashir Ahmed scored 18 off 21 balls whereas Khurram scored 37 off 31 balls. After the openers were sent back to the pavilion the bowling side came back well and made things difficult for Dawson Stars, Ikhtiyar Shah picked up 3 wickets whereas Saman Khan bowled an economical spell and picked up 2 wickets. On the other hand, the end was on a high note for Dawson Stars as Daniyal and Dawood hit some big shots at backend of the innings. Daniyal scored 18 off just 12 whereas Dawood made 26 off 15. In the end, Dawson scored 156 in their 20 overs.
In response, Karachi Fighters got off to a bright start. The openers, Taimoor and Adnan added more than 50 runs together. Taimoor scored 16 off 21 whereas Adnan scored 35 off 30. It looked as though Karachi Fighters were on track when the openers were batting but as soon as they were dismissed they were in big trouble as they lost wickets in a heap. This left Karachi Fighters in a difficult situation. Only Salman Khan was fighting for his side as he held one end and kept on scoring runs but no support came from other end, Salman scored 48 off 35 balls. On the other hand, the bowlers did an amazing job and the spell of the match came from Fahadis Bukhari, he not only bowled with great economy but also picked up 6 wickets, his spell was an inspirational won and he played a big part in his team’s victory, he was supported by Daniyal who picked up 4 wickets and was not far behind Fahadis. With these exceptional efforts Dawson Stars defended their target and won by 19 runs.
