Johar Kings Vs DPLC
Johar Kings batted first against DPLC in the first innings and were off to a very poor start. Both openers Zohaib and Owais weren’t able to score much. Zohaib went down for a duck and Owais scored only 16 runs. Faisal Badshah and Umair gave a tough time right from the start to the batsmen and both picked up 2 wickets each in the first innings. Najeeb came in at number 3 and scores 21 runs that were a decent addition on the scoreboard. Wasif Ali and Farman carried the most effective partnership of the first innings and scored 48 runs. Ghayas was the last one to score 16 runs and brought his team’s total to 145 runs at the end of 20 overs.
DPLC were looking forward to an early win keeping in mind their performance with the ball in the first innings, which was pretty exceptional. But things turned the other way around and Johar Kings restricted the batsmen and contained them from scoring big runs. Openers Muhammad Maaz and Hunain Jabbar weren’t able to give their side a decent and start and went down after scoring a total of 19 runs. Abdul Samad and Fahim played a somewhat decent partnership and scored 29 runs for their team. Owais and Shoaib Shiekh brutally dismantled the opposition with their strong bowling attack and picked up 3 wickets each. The entire team was bowled out at a total of 97 runs in 14 overs.
Johar Kings won by 48 runs.
