The 2nd Match of the Khelo Kricket Champions Trophy was held between Karachi Patriots and Titans at PNS Karsaz New Navy Cricket Ground. Titans won the toss and decided to bowl first. Patriots started off well with a 57 run opening partnership as Tayyab Balagamwala got 25 runs off 25 balls and Faisal Butt got 29 runs off 23 balls. Late inning cameos of 46 off 23 by Adeel Sabuwala and 46 off 24 by Usman Yunus Ghani helped propel Patriots score to 166 for 6 at the end of 20 overs. For Titans, Usman was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets for just 24 runs while Asfar got 2 wickets and one wicket was taken by Hasan.
It seemed a competitive score given the strength and depth of patriots bowling. However, Titans batsmen displayed cool composure and played a calculated innings to ensure that they raced home with 14 balls to spare. Asfar got 36 runs off 26 balls, Fahad got 27 runs off 17 balls and Usama got 20 runs off 22 balls but it was Affaq who stole the show with 53 runs off 24 balls at a strike of 221. His innings included four huge sixes and five elegant boundaries. For Patriots, captain Adeel Abbasi got 3 wickets while Sameer Ahmedani and Rehan Hanif got a wicket each.
Titans CC won the match by 5 wickets.
