Karachi Warriors batted first and they were off to a shaky start as they lost Daniyal Ahmed just for 6 quite early in the innings. Fahad Elahi and Tariq Naseer then got together and tried to bring some momentum back into the innings with their stable partnership. Tariq Naseer could only manage to score 12 whereas Fahad Elahi contributed 45 off just 24 balls, he was looking in terrific touch and smashed 2 fours and 4 maximums during his blitz. After him, the score was propelled forward by Danish Maqbool who scored 32 off 26 balls with 2 fours other than them, Karachi Warriors batsmen could not contribute much as the bowlers also bowled their heart out and the pick was Danish Riaz who picked up 4 wickets only in his 2 overs, Gohar Anwar also picked up 2 wickets. In the end, Karachi Warriors scored 149 in their 20 overs.
In response, Crushers were off to a poor start as they lost 2 quick wickets without much on the board. Rehan and Danish Hanif then provided some stability with their partnership. Rehan was looking in good touch and smashed 2 fours during his 14 whereas Danish Hanif scored 26 off 21 balls with 2 maximums. Once the partnership was broken, Warriors came back roaring in the game and picked some quick wickets. Ahmed and Danish both picked up 2 wickets each. At one stage, things were looking bleak for Crushers but not until Hasan Umer and Gohar Anwar joined each other in the arena, both batted with firm determination and took their team out of the hole. Gohar played a supportive role and after his fine bowling performance contributed with 32 runs from his stick whereas Hasan scored a brilliant 52 off just 41 balls with 7 fours and 1 six. In the end, Crushers chased down the target only in 18.5 overs.
