Top Link Vs Karachi Kaikras
Top link batted first and the opening pair provided their side with a decent start against the Karachi Kaikras. Asad Iqbal and Amir Hussain carried a 36 runs partnership at the start of the first innings. Fawad Hussain and Haris were also giving their best shot with the ball and were pretty successful in breaking up the opening pair and stopped them from scoring even bigger runs. Both of them got 2 wickets each to their names. Ahmed Iqbal and Adeel Ali were the second pair to score a decent partnership of 37 runs which was again a good add on the scoreboard and an advantage for their side to set a massive total. Hassan Siddiqui was unfortunate to lose his wicket through a run out, otherwise he was doing great and scored 23 runs. The entire team was bowled out in 18 overs and with the extras provided by the bowling side, Top Link were able to set a target of 134 runs.
Karachi Kaikras had high hopes given their performance in the first innings but their start in the second innings, proved to be otherwise. The top batting order was brutally dismantled by Uzair Siddiqui who got 4 wickets to his name. After a long haul we saw Khizer Sikander trying to get his team back in the game with his impressive knock of 41 runs, followed by Ali’s 31 runs. Fawad Hussain also contributed to the chase and scored 32 runs but that was just not enough to lead their team to victory. The last 2 batsmen to play were sent back for a duck and Karachi Kaikras were restricted to a total of 117 runs in 20 overs.
Top Link won by 17 runs.
