Karachi Shaheens batted first and were off to a perfect start. Hamza Altaf scored a brilliant 37 off 20 balls with 5 fours and a big six whereas Umair Nasir scored 23 off 19 balls with 4 fours. The openers, utilized the power play well and gave their side a flying start. The start was carried forward by the middle order, Kashif Naseem and Muhammad Muavia. Kashif was a bit slow and scored 21 off 25 before he was retired hurt whereas Muhammad Muavia scored 41 off 31 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes. After a good beginning Shaheens lost their way a bit as their lower middle order was dismissed cheaply and they chief destroyer was Jalal Owais, he bowled exceptionally well and picked up 5 key wickets at an outstanding economy rate of just 4.75. Even after that brilliant spell, Karachi Shaheens posted 177.
The score was not the easiest to chase, but Intellegal batsmen had confidence in their abilities. The start was an ideal one from the openers. Sohail scored 17 off 21 balls whereas Hamood ur Rub scored 39 off 25 with 8 fours and he was the limelight of the opening partnership. After the openers were dismissed, Taha and Haris propelled the score forward and scored 28 and 24 respectively. Najam Butt then joined the party and scored 21 off 12 balls. Even after all these scores the biggest contribution came from Karachi Shaheens bowlers, their bowling was a biggest disappointment of the innings for them as the bowlers led them down and gave away 44 extras including 37 wides. It played major contribution in Intellegal XIs run chase and in the end, Intellegal won by 5 wickets.
