Asif Hayat Vs RLCA

Friendly Fixture

Asif Hayat batted first and were off to a great start. The openers, Farooq Ahmed and Raja Aftab gave them a perfect platform. Both dictated terms in the initial part of the innings and were hardly troubled during their stay. Raja Aftab scored 19 off 11 balls with 4 fours and on the other hand, Farooq scored a brilliant 60 off just 44 balls with 4 fours and 2 maximums. Once they were dismissed, the bowling side made life difficult for the middle order as they were hardly presented with lose balls. Both, Asif Hayat and Shahid Junaid batted with a strike rate of below 100 and scored 22 and 13 respectively. They needed someone to finish the innings on a high and that role was filled in by Emmad who played a much-needed innings of 31 from 18 balls with 5 fours to take his side to 156 in their 20 overs.

Even after a late blitz from Emmad, RLCA were taking the momentum into the second innings as Asif Hayat would have wanted more after the start that they got. RLCA started their innings in a decent manner and their openers, Iqbal Saleem and Zia Ullah smashed the odd ball for four and kept rotating the strike. Iqbal scored 33 off 30 balls whereas Zia Ullah scored 21 off 18 balls. After a decent start, Ghulam Ali and Younas Paracha propelled the score forward and kept the bowlers under pressure. Ghulam Ali was playing so well but he was dismissed at a crucial stage for a well-made 43 off just 27 balls. Younas Paracha on the other hand, kept going and scored a crucial 35 off 29 balls after the dismissal of Ghulam Ali, he was partnered by Asim Jatt. The match was dragged to the last over, but both the batsmen held their nerves and took their side over the line on the last ball. It was an incredible win for RLCA, Asim and Younas remained unbeaten on 11 and 35 respectively. In the end, RLCA won by 7 wickets
