Gigi Gladiators v Unfit Legends
The 2nd ACM Gold t20 Night League started off with Gigi Gladiators facing Unfit Legends at Moin Khan Cricket Stadium. Gigi Gladiators won the toss and decided to bowl first. Their bowlers had Unfit Legends in all sorts of trouble as they were reduced to 57 for 5 as Jamil(9 runs), Khawaja Obaid(11 runs), Faisal Waqar (18 runs), Hasan Naqvi (4 runs)and Abid Butt (3 runs) all fell cheaply. Danish Sumair with 36 and Reza Zaidi with 10 runs undertook some form of recovery but Unfit Legends were all out for just 121 runs. For Gladiators, Zeeshan Fatani got 4 wickets for 15 runs while Adnan Ghazi was chief destroyer of the top order with 3 wickets for just 7 runs in his 4 overs. Adeel Majeed got 2 wickets while team owner, Afzal Gigi got a wicket.
In reply, Gigi Gladiators chased down the total comfortably as their strong batting line up had no trouble in chasing down the small target on the board. Adeel Khan was not out with 62 runs off 33 balls which included 5 sixes and 5 boundaries while Fahad Jabbar remained not out with 40 runs off just 29 balls. Gladiators only lost one wicket of Adnan Salim who scored 13 runs and were home comfortably in 12.2 overs. For Unfit Legends, the solitary wicket taker was Hassan Naqvi.
