Karachi Warriors Vs Viper XI
Karachi warriors batted first and were given a tough time right from the start by one bowler who wasn’t letting any batsmen stand his ground or score runs for that matter. Qasim Aftab bowled an amazing spell dismissed the first 3 batsmen, leaving the rest of the order vulnerable. But Naveed Akhtar took charge from his end, and scored bug runs for his team. While hitting 3 massive sixes and 2 boundaries, Naveed Akhtar scored 65 runs just off 50 balls. Rest of the batting order couldn’t score much and we saw only 2 batsmen scoring in the double figures. Daniyal and Farooq scored 12 and 16 runs respectively. At the end of 20 overs, Karachi Warriors managed to secure a total of 139 runs.
Viper XI were off to a shaky start themselves, compared to what they did to the Warriors in the first innings. Farooq Akhter was the man behind their destruction and took first 3 wickets. Hammad did try to score big, but was taken down after scoring only 12 runs. Jawad did a pretty decent job and scored 37 runs but was unfortunate to lose his wicket in a run out. Abuzar and Saqib scored 10 and 15 runs respectively, bringing their side a few steps closer to the chase. Faraz was the man to seal things off for the Viper XI with his knock of 41 runs and soon his side chased the target in 18.5 overs.
Viper XI won by 3 wickets.
