Khatri Stags batted first in the all important final. The top order however was outdone by a brilliant display of bowling by the Jaguars. The team lost quick wickets early on with the exception of opener Shahzad Dedia who showed some resistance with a fighting knock of 29 runs. With 4 run outs in the side, the team was falling apart before Asim Arbani stepped in to save his side. Asim contributed a very valuable knock of 71 runs off just 38 balls including 3 boundaries and 5 maximums, preventing his team from complete implosion. Jaguars bowlers Ayub and Shoaib also took a wicket each. Khatri Stags set a target of 175 runs in 20 overs.
In response, Khatri Jaguars had a horrific day out with the bat, losing wickets very regularly with no momentum on their side. The chasing side lost opener Asad for just 3 runs and things did not get any easier. Stags bowlers did well to pick wickets at key times to rattle the opposition. Asim Arbani who was having the match of his life picked up 2 wickets along with Kashif Moosani who also took 2 wickets for his side. It was an all round strong display with the ball and Jaguars batsmen were unable to keep the scoreboard ticking. Irfan and Ayub were the most notable contributors for their side scoring 18 runs each respectively. Khatri Jaguars were bowled out for 118 runs in 19 overs.
Khatri Stags won by 54 runs.
