Dhoraji Super League- Final Day

Dhoraji Challengers v Dhoraji Kings- Semi Final

Dhoraji Challengers batted first with opener Naveed leading from the front. While the rest of the team fell apart to an impressive display of bowling by the Kings, Naveed stood firm scoring an impressive 21 runs. Talha picked up 2 wickets while Ali, Owais and Akbar took a wicket each to stump the opposition. Eventually Ali's cameo of 18 runs lower down the order helped properl Challengers to set a target of 73 runs in 8 overs.

In response, Kings lost both their openers to a fantastic piece of bowling by Owais and were dismissed for a pair of ducks. Owais was in-form and on fire with his spell of 3 wickets. Talha and Khurram then took over scoring 10 and 15 runs respectively but needed to keep their wickets intact to give their team a fighting chance. Ahmed made quick work of the pair, picking up 2 wickets. None of the remaining batsmen were able to contribute runs with the bat and were limited to 66 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Dhoraji Challengers won by 7 runs.

Dhoraji Warriors v Dhoraji Fighters- Semi Final

Dhoraji Fighters batted first and made a complete mess of things. The openers were out for twin run outs, losing their wickets for 1 run. Third man Saifullah followed in similar fashion, being dismissed by Aamir for just 1 run. The team completely fell apart before Doorani and Noman stepped in to lead the recovery with cameos of 15 and 18 runs respectively. Samad followed up later down the order with a knock of 14 runs. Warriors bowlers did well to limit the opposition with Sajjad, Bilal, Kareem, Yaseen and Aamir all taking a wicket each.  Dhoraji Fighters set a target of 71 runs in 8 overs.

Dhoraji Warriors had a horrific day out with the bat. The chasing side lost opener Kareem for duck and were never able to recover. Wickets fell in heaps as the team struggled against a formidable bowling attack. Fighters bowlers were fantastic with the ball with Haris leading the attack, picking up 2 wickets. Hassan, Saifullah, Saad and Noman took 1 wicket each. With the exception of Bilal's knock of 12 runs, none of the other batsmen were able to convert to double digits. Dhoraji Warriors were limited to 53 runs in 8 overs.

Dhoraji Fighters won by 18 runs.
 

Dhoraji Challengers v Dhoraji Fighters- Final

Dhoraji Fighters batted first in the all important match with Fayyaz being outdone by Ali for just 1 run. The team lost wickets frequently before Haris, Hassan and Hamza saved their side. They scored 20, 29* and 14* respectively to propel their team to a respectable target of 86 runs in 8 overs. Challengers bowler Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets while Ali and Owais took a wicket each.

In response Dhoraji Challengers lost opener Naveed for just 5 runs but his partner Ahmed took the game home. He scored a fiery 32 run knock that came off just 14 balls setting the foundation for a victory. 2 run outs and 2 wickets by Fighters bowler Haris had the Challengers batting line up fumbling but eventually a cameo of 10 runs by Arshad sealed a victory in 6.4 overs.
