Shola batted first and were off to a terrible start as they lost Sultan Ejaz just for 1. Bilal Saleem and Hamza Jawaid then got together and tried to rescue the sinking ship. Bilal Saleem scored 38 off 32 balls with 4 fours whereas Hamza Jawaid scored 23 off 20 balls with 2 fours. Both batsmen gave a good platform and provided some impetus to the innings. After their dismissal, Omer Khalid and Mansoor Aslam joined each other and batted aggressively in dying stages of the innings. Omer Khalid scored 25 off 21 balls while Mansoor Aslam went a step further and scored 45 off 28 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. The bowling was untidy as Casta conceded 26 extras. Sarfaraz Qadir was the pick of the bowlers as he gave away 7 runs at a brilliant economy rate of 2.33 and picked up 2 wickets. In the end, Shola scored 178 in their 20 overs.

In response, Casta were off to a positive start as the openers charged the bowlers from ball one. Maroof Mubashir was looking good and played positively in his little innings of 11 but he was picked up by Taha Omer before he could make any further contributions. On the other hand, Imran Rauf went on to score a crucial 36 off 34 balls with 3 fours. After the openers were sent back, Jawad Mubashir and Nadeem Gulzar propelled the score forward. Jawad Mubashir scored 26 off 21 balls with 4 fours whereas Nadeem Gulzar scored 33 off 29 balls with 1 four and he remained unbeaten till the end. Jawad and Nadeem batted well and put their side in a commanding position. But if Jawad and Nadeem set up the win then Muhammad Haseeb played a knockout punch. He came and scored a brilliant 48 off just 27 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. On the other hand, Shola did not help themselves as just like Casta they also conceded a huge number of extras, they conceded 25 extras which helped Casta during the run chase. In the end, Casta managed to chase down the target in 19.2 overs.
