Universal Cable v KPS
Universal Cable and KPS played at South End Club. Universal Cable batted first and lost opener Sheraz early after he had scored just 1 run. However Sheraz with 33, Rana with 21 and M Ashas with 58 runs stabilized the innings. A quick fire 32 runs off 20 balls by Anas ensured that Universal Cables ended at a competitive 161 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. For KPS, Zameer and Saleem got 2 wickets each while Nabi, Sajid and Rehan got a wicket each.
In reply, KPS lost three early wickets of Noor, Hayat and Fareed but Rehan Khan displayed some exquisite shots and placement during his stint of 78 runs off just 41 balls. Saleem Khan helped the cause with 33 runs off 32 balls and KPS trickled home in the last over with one wicket left in hand. A thrilling encounter which went down to the wire and in the end KPS emerged as the victors. For Universal Cables, Stefen, Shahid and Sajid got 2 wickets each and Sheraz and Imtiaz got a wicket each.
KPS won by 1 wicket.
