Royal Stars batted first and were off to a great start as their openers looked in great touch. Both batsmen utilized the initial overs well and scored some useful runs at top for their side. Khizar Azam scored 31 off 22 balls with 4 fours whereas Waleed Azim scored 52 off 53 balls with 5 fours and 1 six.  After the dismissal of openers, Shaheer and Waleed joined each other in the middle and scored some quick runs. Shaheer added 14 whereas Waleed scored 10. The innings was ended on a high by Naqash who scored 38 off 19 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. For Gulshan Warriors, Hammad and Khalid shined with the ball and picked up 2 wickets each. In the end, Royal Stars managed to score 174 in their 20 overs.

In reply, Gulshan Warriors lost some quick wickets at the top but Kamran held one end together and played a key role in this run chase. Kamran scored 70 off just 45 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes, it was the highlight of the innings considering the fact that he kept losing wickets at the other end, but he did not lose his concentration and played a vital innings. After him there were not enough contributions from the Gulshan Warriors, most of the batsmen got settled and then lost their wickets at crucial stages. Zeeshan tried his best to take Gulshan Warriors over the line as he played a little cameo off 17 from 7 balls down the order but in the end, Warriors fell 3 runs short of the target and could only score 171. The bowlers did a great job and held their nerve. Hammad Masood picked up 3 wickets and was the pick of the bowlers.
