Resource Link v National Foods
Resource Link batted first and lost opener Umair for just 2 runs. The team however recovered very well with Farrukh leading from the front with an impressive 45 runs off just 34 balls. The real star of the match however was Mehmood whose 85* run innings came off just 53 balls and included 5 boundaries and 5 maximums. Despite the initial attack, National Foods bowlers were helpless against the onslaught, unable to take wickets when most required. Only Azhar, Saleem and Abdul Salam took 1 wicket each. Resource Link ended at a competitive 158 for 3 in 20 overs.
National Foods came undone in the second innings. It was an unbelievable collapse as 9 of their batsmen were out for single digits. Ali Nasir was the lone fighter with his knock of 32 runs but could not get his partners to keep their wickets intact. Resource Link bowlers were in form and on fire with Talha picking up 3 wickets. Naveed also took 2 with the rest of the batting line up chipping in, limiting the opposition. National Foods ended at a low 81 for 9 in 20 overs.
