Butt Brothers Cricket Club batted first and were off to a shaky start as they lost Zohaib Nasir for just 1 quite early in the innings. Asad and Zubair then got together and formed a brilliant partnership. They not only added some crucial runs but the pace of their partnership was tremendous. Asad scored 41 off just 18 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes whereas Zubair scored 32 off 25 balls with 4 fours and a six. After their dismissal, Usama propelled the score forward and scored 20 off 17 balls. The platform was set for lower order to come and dictate terms. First, Noman and Ali added 16 and 15 respectively and later it was partnership between Numair (22) and Umair (10) that pushed the score to a very respectable 175.
Gulshan Becks in response, were off to a poor start and they never really recovered from the early losses. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and that pushed them further away from the finish line. Sadiq Hussain was the top run getter from Gulshan Becks side as he scored 29 off 16 balls but rest of the batting card was no way near competitive. The bowlers on the other hand, did a great job in restricting the opposition. It was a combined bowling effort from Butt Brothers CC but the standouts were Kamran and Aziz as they picked up 2 wickets each. In the end, Gulshan Becks were restricted to just 112.
