Ideal Sports v Surat Legends XI
Ideal Sports batted first at Pak Star cricket ground this past Sunday. Opener Majid Yaseen was in form with a roaring knock of 30 runs to set the foundation for his side. Ahtisham also joined him with a valuable contribution of 39 runs. The rest of the batting line up however struggled against the opposition, unable to score freely, losing wickets in regular intervals. Waqas, Qamar and Arsalan were the key wicket takers, taking a combined 7 wickets. A late surge by Usman and Sheraz of 18 and 16 runs propelled Ideal Sports to 142 for 7 in 20 overs.
Surat Legends XI were off to a decent start when Shani and Qamar knocked 27 and 19 runs respectively but it all went down hill after that. The team lost wickets too quickly to capitalize on a decent start thanks to a fantastic piece of bowling by Usman Butt. His 5 wicket haul rattled the chasing side having them bowled out for 133 in 19.1 overs. The rest of the bowling unit chipped in, taking 1 wicket each.
Ideal Sports won by 9 runs.
