JS Bank v Faysal Bank
JS Bank batted first at Al Mansoora cricket ground this past Saturday. The team lost opener Tariq for duck but nothing could stop their side from scoring. Zulfiqar, Noman Ikram and Fahad teamed up against a formidable bowling line up to keep the scoreboard ticking. Noman was exceptional in his knock of 88 runs which came at a strike rate of 166 including 4 boundaries and 6 sixes. Zulfiqar also contributed 37 runs while Fahad scored 44 runs at a strike rate of 200. Faysal Bank struggled to pick wickets Afaq Ahmed Khan being the most successful bowler for their side with his 2 wickets. Rahil and Naeem also took 1 wicket each. JS Bank ended at 191 for 4 in 20 overs.
Faysal Bank were off to a fantastic start in their chase when openers Bilal Aqleem and Amir Abidi stepped on to the crease. Bilal scored 29 but it was Amir who lit up the opposition. His knock of 68 runs came off 42 balls including 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. Things seemed to be going well for the chasing side before they managed to make a complete mess of things. The team completely fell apart with a great comeback from the JS bowlers. Arbab Wasti lead the attack with his 3 wicket spell, closely followed by Tariq who also took 3 wickets. None of the other Faysal Bank batsmen were able to capitalize on the beautiful start and they were eventually to 161 for 8 in 20 overs.
JS Bank won by 30 runs.
