ICT batted first and were off to a shaky start as they lost their openers very cheaply without much contribution from them. After the dismissal of openers, Taqi Azad and Adeel Khan got together and with their partnership, they changed the complexion of the game. Taqi Azad scored 37 off just 20 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes whereas Adeel Khan scored 32 off 14 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. The two started the fireworks which was carried forward by Hunain and Haris who scored a brilliant partnership. Hunain scored 67 off just 38 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes and remained not out till the end whereas Haris scored 25 off 22 before he was dismissed and later Ibaad joined Hunain and scored a scintillating 35 off just 14 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. In the end, ICT scored a big 213 in their first innings.
Tanishq Gold CC were chasing a big score and they wanted something inspirational to get over the line. They got a magnificent start from the openers. Mirza Shoaib and Gul Muhammad demolished the bowlers. They smashed them to all parts of the ground and it was just an ideal start for them. Mirza Shoaib scored 54 off just 32 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes whereas Gul scored 31 off 20 balls with 5 sixes. After their dismissal, the bowling side picked up a few quick wickets but Abdul Wali and Naimat Khan again formed a good little partnership to take their side even closer to victory. Abdul Wali scored 35 off 27 whereas Naimat Khan scored 30 off 21 balls. The bowlers went for plenty but the standout after his batting heroics was Hunain who picked up 5 for 36 balls and he was supported by Rafay who picked up 3 as well. In the end, Hunain turned out to be the difference in this high scoring contest as ICT won by 12 runs.
