IAL Smashers v Aimmz Trading
IAL Smashers and Aimmz Trading clashed at Easter Star Cricket Ground as part of the 7th Challengers Corporate Cup. Smashers batted first and were off to a good start as Faizan scored 26 runs and Murtaza starred in his knock of 48 runs. However, Aimmz Trading bowlers then took quick wickets as Shahenshah departed for 1, Ali for 10 and M.Yousuf after having scored only 9 runs. Kami with 16 runs and Rizwan and Sajid with 10 each also contributed to the cause but Aimmz bowlers also conceded 23 extras which enabled Smashers to end at a competitive 155 for 7 in 20 overs. For Aimmz, Haris Shams was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets for just 25 runs while Zain, A Rehman and Jalil took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Aimmz were off to a good start as Zain contributed 36 runs off just 19 balls and his innings included 6 boundaries and 1 six while his partner Umair also got 13 runs. Smashers bowling was not penetrative enough and Aimmz batsmen batted comfortably as Ozema scored 34 runs and Haris Shams knocked 35 runs not out to help Aimmz home in 18.4 overs for the loss of just 4 wickets. Sajid, Rizwan, Yousuf and Jawaid took a wicket each for Smashers.
Aimmz Trading won by 6 wickets.
