Benitoz Panthers v Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP)
Benitoz Panthers batted first with their top order putting on a strong performance. Ahmed Arshad, Tabish and Mohib were ruthless against the bowling line up scoring 26, 47 and 39 runs respectively. Once the trio were finally dismissed, Israr Ul Haq and Asad Ullah took the momentum forward with knocks of 47 and 26 runs. IAP bowlers simply held no contest against the batting side with only Nawaz Khan fighting back with 2 wickets. Hussain Mustafa, Sameer and Aamir Abbas also picked up a wicket each. Benitoz Panthers ended at 201 for 5 in 20 overs.
With scoreboard pressure prevalent from the onset, IAP had their work cut out for them. The team however struggled considerably in their chase losing wickets too regularly and unable to capitalize on some decent starts. Ahmed Nawaz and Nawaz Khan were the only two batsmen to show any form of resistance with knocks of 30 runs each respectively. Israr Ul Haq once again shined taking 2 wickets while the rest of the bowling line up chipped in to limit IAP to 148 for 9 in 20 overs.
Benitoz Panthers won by 54 runs.
