A&B v Steel XI (Semi Final)
A&B played against Steel Xi at Asghar Ali Shah stadium for the all important semi final. A&B batted first and Bilal Chinioty got them off to a good start with 42 runs off 30 deliveries. His efforts were supplemented by Ahrar with 14, Umair with 11 and Humayun with 17 runs. Haseeb Nadeem with 31 off 21 and Saad with 24 runs ensured A&B ended at a competitive total of 156 for 5 in 20 overs. Steel XI bowlers weren't able to pick wickets when required and allowed an easy flow of runs. For Steel XI, Osama took 2 wickets while Ali, Nadeem and Shahzaib picked up a wicket each.
The reply from Steel XI was not up to the mark as they lost quick wickets of Abdullah, Tahir and Faisal. Shoaib tried to contribute with an 18 run cameo but only Hamza with 42 off 25 at a strike rate of 168% put up some resistance. None of the other batsmen lent him support and could not even reach double figures as the whole team was out for 119 runs. For A&B, Babar took 4 wickets, Tanveer picked up 3 wickets while Haseeb and Haris got a wicket each
A&B won by 37 runs and have secured a place in the final.
