Crushers v Casta- Semi Final
Crushers faced Casta at al Mansoora cricket ground. Crushers batted first and it was a one man show as Danish Saleem hit a fantastic century to get 105 runs off 64 balls including 10 boundaries and 5 sixes. Surprisingly, none of the other batsmen could keep their wickets intact and Crushers ended at 147 for 5 in 20 overs. Casta bowlers did well to limit the opposition, striking when needed. Faraz picked up 2 wickets while Sarfaraz, Tayyad and Usman took a wicket each.
In reply, Casta had a good start as opener Rizwan knocked 21 runs. His partner Maroof remained not out at 70 runs and built a partnership with Imran who contributed a steady 45 not out off 44 runs as Casta won in the 19th over for the loss of only 1 wicket which was taken by Farhan for Crushers.
It turned out to be a one sided contest and the heroics of Danish Saleem were in vain as his team ended up losing the match.
Casta won by 9 wickets and cruised to the final.
