TNN Titans v Gigi Gladiators
TNN Titans and Gigi Gladiators played the qualifier of the 2nd ACM Gold t20 Night League at RLCA Gulberg ground. Gladiators won the toss and fielded first and their bowlers removed Faizan, Shakir and Bilal in quick succession. Yasir Tanveer with 29, Rabish with 33 and Owais Pasta with 28 ensured stability to the innings and saved their side from a collapse and Hunain with 16 and Ali Bantwa with 15 ensured TNN Titans ended at 146 for 8 in 20 overs. For Gladiators, Kamil and Ghazanfar Richie took 2 wickets each while Danial and Rafay got a wicket each and there were 2 run outs.
In reply, Gladiators had a bad start as Adnan Salim fell without scoring but Adeel Khan pulled back the momentum with 25 runs off 11 balls which included 2 boundaries and 2 sixes before he was run out. Danial also departed early after scoring just 5 runs. Fahad Jabbar and Ghazanfar Richie then partnered to get the scoreboard ticking before Fahad was out after having scored a stable 37 runs off 37 balls. Titans bowlers then picked up 3 quick wickets of Danial, Kamil and Usman and the match was in the balance. Ghazanfar Richie showed responsibility with a sensible knock of 48 not out off 39 balls while Rafay hit 9 off 4 deliveries to get Gigi Gladiators home with 3 wickets in hand and 3 balls to spare. A good thrilling encounter between two heavy weight teams of the tournament and very fiercely fought by both teams. For Titans, Khalid Khursheed took 3 wickets while Imran, Ubaid and Hunain picked up a wicket each. Gigi Gladiators have now directly qualified for the final of the tournament on May 1.
