Alliance Sports v Karachi Star
Alliance Sports played Karachi Star at Asghar Ali Shah stadium. Alliance batted first and lost three quick wickets of Khurram Rangila, Muzammil Mehboob and Saad Ahmed. In order to avoid a collapse, Idrees Durrani stepped up to the plate and played an anchor role as he scored 48 runs while Talha knocked 20 runs. A quick fire 37 not out off 19 balls by Israr Ahmed propelled his side to post a score of 144 for 6 in 20 overs. For Karachi Star, Saad and Danial did well to limit the opposition picking up 2 wickets each while Taha and Anas got a wicket each.
Karachi Stars batsmen were never in the game as besides opener Farhad who got 21 runs, the top 5 batsmen could not get into double figures until Saad contributed 25 runs in a desperate attempt to stall the collapse but his efforts were in vain as the whole team was out for just 84 runs. Faisal Ghouri was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets while A Rehman, Khurram, Talha, Idrees and Ahmer got a wicket each.
Alliance Sports won by 60 runs.
