Amadeus Super Cricketers v Ten Pearls
This match was an afternoon match and the wicket looked like a belter. There were ominous signs for the bowlers as both teams have a good batting lineup. It was Amadeus Super Cricketers who batted first and lost both their openers cheaply. The middle order comprising of M. Ali Naqvi, Muhammad Furqan and Umair Zaheer stuck to their task and scored freely. Muhammad Furqan scored 56 runs off just 27 balls and he was also the top scorer of the innings. Amadeus batsmen hit 12 whopping sixes. The innings was helped by TenPearls bowlers who conceded 17 extra runs including 12 wides. Amadeus ended the innings with 204 runs on the board. Faiz ul Haq towards the end of the innings picked up 3 wickets and was the pick of bowlers with figures of 3 for 29.
Ten Pearls lost Faiz ul Haq on the first ball of the innings as Imran Qureshi hit the timber. Muhammad Sheraz Siddique, Asad Ullah and Ajdal Aziz played good innings and tried their level best to reach their target but in the end it was too far from the reach of the chasing side. Sheraz and Ajdal scored 50’s but the lower order of Ten Pearls just couldn’t score quickly enough and they ended up 30 runs short of the target. Faizan Azam was the best bowler for Amadeus, picking up 3 wickets during the innings including the important scalp of Sheraz.
