Fantastic XI v Karachi Eagles
Fantastic XI played against Karachi Eagles at Eidgah cricket ground. Fantastic Xi batted first and Jawad with 49 and Umer with 27 got them off to a good start. However, none of the subsequent batsmen could come to terms with Eagles bowling as they pitched the ball in the right slots and only Zaid knocked 22 runs while none of the other batsmen could reach double figures and Fantastic XI were all out for just 127 runs. For Karachi Eagles, Faisal was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets for just 21 runs while Sherry got 3 wickets and Zakir, Owais and Sami picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Karachi Eagles did not face much trouble as Faisal with 54 runs and Sami with 28 runs got them off to a solid start and laid the foundation for a comfortable victory. Zakir with 14 runs took them home with 5 overs and 6 wickets to spare. For Fantastic XI who did not put up a good show on this particular day, the only successful bowlers were Abdul who took 2 wickets and Jawad and Mohi got a wicket each.
Karachi Eagles won by 6 wickets.
