3G Friends v City Warriors
City Warriors batted first with with opener Waseem being dismissed for just 1 run. Things however picked up when his partner Samad and one down Waseem Ali stabilized the innings. They built a formidable partnership knocking an impressive 45 and 50 runs respectively to provide a much needed boost for their side. However once the pair were dismissed none of the subsequent batsmen were able to effectively contribute and keep their wickets intact. 3G bowlers Fahad and Ahmed were the key wicket takers with 2 scalps each and there were 2 run outs. City Warriors set a target of 147 in 20 overs.
3G Friends were off to a decent start in their chase with Mudassir and Faisal scoring 21 and 11 respectively. The real star however was number 4 batsmen Zafar who dominated the innings. He smashed 60 off 47 balls including 6 fours and 1 six to propel his side to a comfortable victory. They chased down the target in 19.3 overs. City bowlers were ineffective with Farooq being the most notable of the lot picking up 2 wickets in vain.
