Groove CC v Karachi Riders
Groove CC played Karachi Riders at Bin Qasim ground this past Sunday. Groove CC batted first and lost opener Saud early after he had scored just 4 runs. The other opener, Tariq knocked 21 runs but the star of the batting line up was Adeel who scored 80 runs off 52 balls at a strike rate of 153% and his innings included 6 boundaries and 2 sixes. Other than Adeel, none of the other batsmen could contribute much except Ahsan who got19 runs. Groove CC ended at 158 for 8 in 20 overs and for Karachi Riders, Hassan took 2 wickets while Asim, Taha, Adnan and Samad picked up a wicket each and there were 2 run outs.
In reply, Karachi Riders started off well as Munib knocked a fiery 50 runs and Faizan got 20 runs. However once the pair were dismissed, the team fell apart. Asim with 12 and Taha with 11 runs tried to take their team towards the victory line but wickets kept falling at regular intervals and Karachi Riders ended at a total of 144 runs at the end of their innings. For Groove CC, Atif and Tariq picked up 2 wickets each while Ahsan and Saud took a wicket each
Groove CC won by 14 runs.
