Karachi Knights and Samba Bank came head to head at Naya Nazimabad cricket ground. Karachi Knights batted first and lost opener Nomi early after he had scored only 2 runs. Amir with 36 and Ghaus with 24 stabilized the innings but wickets kept falling regularly and only Irshad and Zeeshan with 11 each put up some resistance as Knights ended at 119 for 8 in 20 overs against some good bowling by Samba Bank bowlers. Ayaz was exceptional in his spell, picking up 3 wickets while Faraz struck with 2 wickets and Bhatti, Farooq and Raheel got a wicket each
In reply, Samba Bank had a comfortable chase as Farooq Siraj showed his class and displayed some exquisite shots in his innings of 61 runs off just 46 deliveries at a strike rate of 132 and his innings included 9 boundaries and 1 six and he carried the bat and ensured his team crossed the finish line with ease in the end. Mujtaba Mehdi contributed with 27 runs as Samba Bank reached home in the 17th over for the loss of just 3 wickets. For Karachi Knights, a dismal performance overall and the only wicket takers were Umer and Moiz and there was 1 run out.
