Aqeel Combined v Alliance Sports- Final
Aqeel Combined batted first in the all important match and imploded on the biggest of occassions. Opener Ahsan Siddiqui was out for duck and things did not get any easier as the Alliance Sports bowlers dominated the innings. Taimoor Ali was the only batsman to show some intent with his cameo of 24 with Omer Saleem and Imran Javed scoring 12 and 15 respectively. Talha Butt continued his sublime form with a 3 wicket haul followed by Ahsan Lakhani who took 2 wickets. Aqeel Combined were all out for 91 in 18.1 overs.
With a low total to chase, Alliance Sports had no pressure on their side and despite losing opener Khurram for 9, the team cruised to victory. The unstoppable Talha Butt knocked 39 and contributions of 17 and 16 by Muzammil and Idrees guided Alliance Sports to a victory in 16.5 overs. Kashif Sajjad was the most effective bowler for his side with 2 wickets but the total was simply too low to defend.
Alliance Sports won by 6 wickets and became champions of the Alliance Sports League!
